I’ll launch by saying that this anime is too long. There are device too many episodes in this series. I know what you’re thinking. Thirteen is the absolute lowest an anime can go without becoming an OVA. And that’s exactly my point. The last few episodes is where the gold is in this anime, and really a lot of the episodes never followed any precise legend line. This would have been a stout OVA, had they done some episode editing.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mezzo – Complete Collection! Click Here

Case in point, the first episode is about ghosts (with another episode later on also being about a ghost), the second is about aliens, the third about biological disasters, another episode deals with androids, and another with virtual reality. Though it all follows in line with the thought of the anime, it doesn’t progress the record line in any intention. In fact, two of the episodes, the last two on the first disc, goes befriend to the considerable more hazardous and adult Mezzo Forte in the gain of flashbacks. You’d reflect this a safe thing, but the determined disagreement between the two makes the Mezzo series peep bad beside its prologue, Mezzo Forte. The animation quality in Mezzo Forte was fair too suited.

That’s not to say that this anime was all abominable. The characters, for one, are hilarious. Mikura is the gunslinger/beautiful-chick that is celebrated in this genre who gets a clear amount of pleasure out of the violence she dishes out. Kurokawa is an ex-cop who knows the darker side of his mature job, and who also loves to eat noodles, and Harada is the brains of the bunch, who seems to have a crush on Mikura that never comes through in the fable. Also, there are the unfamiliar Shaded Scissors, a gang of assassins and underworld thugs; tiny Asami, the protege; a mysterious assassin that was seemingly hired to waste Kurokawa, but by who? ; and a cat-faced police chief who supplies the DSA with their ammunition.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mezzo – Complete Collection! Click Here

The epic also isn’t that awful, when it finally kicks in. Without spoiling grand, the last five episodes involves a sight into the underworld as well as a peak into the world of hooked cops. The narrative itself is driven by action packed scenes–gun fights, fist fights, explosions, car chases, and the like–along with a lot of comedy, even when it starts to salvage serious. The accepted theme in every episode, however, is that the DSA (Grief Service Agency) will net any hazardous job given them, for a trace.

I can’t recommend this anime for the casual fan. Even the value of the box location wouldn’t compose it worth someone who has only watched the anime on Adult Swim. I also can’t recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Mezzo Forte, as the face-lift this series had to go through to fabricate it more “watch-able” seems to alienate it from its considerable more violent and sex-filled prologue. However, if you enjoyed the slit version of Forte, and you’re titillating about the characters left unhurried, then I can recommend this. I can also recommend this for anyone who like solid action with itsy-bitsy nonsense.

who can ask for more. the ONLY complaint I have, the reveal was too short, not enough eps.

Paramount Home Video did a worthy packaging job of putting all 32 second season episodes on 5 DVD’s, thus timid the overall packaging size and reducing the ticket from the first season location. Overall, I rate the “I Fancy Lucy: The Complete Second Season” DVD box situation with 5 out of 5 stars!

Honey & Clover follows the lives of five students studying at an art college in Tokyo. The series follows their lives through their college years as they drop in care for, catch their first jobs, and ask their purpose in life. I guess you can say that Honey and Clover is extraordinarily ordinary. Although in many ways that is what makes this series so special. If you were ever a college student (art college or otherwise) you will get it very easy to portray to the memoir Honey & Clover is telling.

The characters in Honey & Clover can be a bit quirky and eccentric yet they tranquil all seem very precise. It is especially easy to report to the main protagonist Takemoto who is probably the most ordinary of the bunch and a perfect representation of an average college student.

Honey & Clover also boasts a grand soundtrack with insert songs from Spitz & Suga Shikao dilapidated throughout the series. The art & character designs have a dreamlike and water color finish. Special explore should also be given to the opening sequence which uses close motion animation & food for a very novel and memorable execute.

To achieve Honey and Clover is sometimes hilarious, sometimes it is black. In that diagram it reflects the ups and downs of loyal life. If you are looking for an anime series that is bright, thoughtful & genuine I cannot recommend this one enough.

Most anime is aimed at either a teenage or preteen audience. Honey and Clover is a rare anime targeted at adult women that guys should also be pleased – indeed, it will be appreciated most by those who have completed at least a year of college.

Our narrator is Yuta Takemoto, a sensitive young man slogging his draw through his second year at a visual arts college as the series begins. Under the guidance of his well-liked professor at the school, Shuji Hanamoto, Yuta makes his intention along with his friends: his fellow architectural student Takumi Mayama, who’s fallen in fancy with the young widow of Shuji’s best friend; potter Ayumi Yamada, who in turn is in unrequieted admire with Takumi; very eccentric computer graphics designer Shinobu Morita and, finally, Shuji’s tiny cousin Hagumi “Hagu” Hanamoto – a painter/sculptor who will have a profound finish on both Yuta and Shinobu.

There are a few problems with the two female leads – Ayumi often becomes the dispenser of mature anime slapstick humor, and more importantly a enormous chance to realistically depict life for short people is lost on Hagu, who has a disturbing lack of self-reliance with a somewhat shaky explanation. But for the most portion, Honey and Clover brilliantly covers almost all aspects of college life, from freshmen experiencing their first bouts of homesickness to seniors stressing over finding their first jobs and everything in between – like learning how to handle alcohol without adult supervision and the dejection of often living on ramen and working your tail off to pay your dues without any financial reward yet. There are also some very silly moments – especially a renowned game of Twister that will probably leap to the top 10 funniest list of many.

There are precious few josei anime in the North American market. Honey and Clover is generally considered one of the best, and if josei is your demographic, it belongs in your collection.

I also whisper Inaugurate Court -1st grade. I was extremely aroused to acquire this on DVD. My 6-year aged urban children were mesmerized by the record – we read our OCR sage in chunks, viewed the DVD in 10 – 12 limited chunks. I added realia ( I have a wooden sailboat I purchased) – and had wonderful classroom discussions. The video has a lot of complex language, and you need to concept it yourself before showing to your class. Adding realia, using the globe and method and simplifying some of the terms frail – provided a rich learning experience for my students. I WISH more of OCR non- fiction could be taught using video AND the book…the students were shipshape engaged…and if you go to Start Court [...] – Print out the visual vocabulary…You’re all position!!! I feeble a section of this lesson for my National Board Entry. I was proud of how my students conversed about their “Captain Bill!!”

In the first grade Start Court series, this chronicle is told. I ordered the DVD and showed it to the first graders in segments. While I hold this exposure is critical, I am not distinct a six year ragged has developed an concept to comprehend the impact this man has on their world. I shared it with the sixth grade teachers and they are incorporating the video into their library. Will I employ it next year? Definitely. I reflect this is a fantastic asset to any school library.

SPOILERS—DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED

Somewhere halfway through this 5th season, I decided it would be my last. I was even tempted to end factual then and there. I assume this happened around the same time that Izzie was having mind-boggling sex with Denny (the insensible ex) . But I decided to wait until the extinguish. Who knows why?

And I am so jubilant I did. I have unbiased finished watching the season finale. I have been downloading the episodes from iTunes since the season will not be out in DVD for a while. I unruffled wanted to write a review in case you are hesitating to win this season.

So without further delay or hesitation I say Occupy IT. The 2nd half of the season more than makes up for the weaknesses in the first half, and the season finale is so first-rate that it’s worth to procure it unbiased for this. Well, to be objective, the season finale is devastating. So grand so that it reignites your desire to recognize the indicate and approach relieve for the 6th Season.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Fifth Season! Click Here

But getting attend to Season 5….there are a few reasons why this season is very good:

1. The Derek/Meredith status is resolved and this is grand. It is honorable to observe a cheerful ending to these 2, especially after 4 years of following their ups and downs. The show’s creator wanted to sigh this to the fans and she made the proper call on this. I consider people would have been turned off if Meredith and Derek had split permanently or if their yarn would have kept being dragged on.

2. What started as the unlikely couple of Sloan and Lexi, has developed into a really nice anecdote line where he sheds his playboy lifestyle for a more committed relationship. Lexi’s character is also growing quite nicely, from an almost defenseless “minute girl” to a faded woman that centers Sloan. They are also quite glowing together as a couple, and well I’m really rooting for them….

3. Cali is finding happiness with Arizona. I adore the Arizona character, and the actress that plays her is absolutely big. It is a treat to peek this couple blossoming. It was a tremendous decision to score rid of Cali’s ex girlfriend…she was a bitter and sunless person and not at all matched to Cali’s lighthearted nature. Arizona’s bubbly personality is sizable for Cali. I fancy how they wrote in her skating around the hospital….On the other hand she has been instrumental in Dr. Bailey’s discovery of her softer side and her preference for pediatrics as her specialty.

4. Christina and Owen are going through major bumps, but there’s an intensity to their relationship that is big to glance, and by the raze of the season, it’s nice to survey how their tale evolves.

5. While I was annoyed with Izzie’s and Denny’s fable line, Katherine Heigl gives a tremendous performance towards the extinguish of the season, and so does the actor that plays Alex Karev. Alex’s character, so rough at times, shows an increased sensitivity as Izzie gets sicker, and well, it’s heart-wrenching to gape his wound.

THE BIGGEST SPOILERS FOLLOW….Finish READING….OR ELSE…..

6. The fact that George walks Izzie down the aisle is sweet and poignant.

7. The moment when Meredith realizes that George is John Doe is one of the most remarkable scenes I have seen on TV. I had to behold it a couple of times and notion to go succor to it. She was incredible in that scene.

8. When Izzie faces George, you realize that this could very well be the last time you look these 2 actors together. One of them will surely die, perhaps both….. and this is impartial devastating…..

Now, apparently in valid life, Katherine Heigl has stated that she wants to reach succor to the display, while Knight has stayed serene on the subject. So it’s very likely George will die and Izzie will fabricate it…..but it would fair be improbable if they both originate it. It’s a credit to the writing that after being fed up with one and indifferent to the other, I now desperately wish for their return.

9. Finally, the most astonishing share of this season is that in watching events unfold and listening to Meredith’s enlighten over in the season finale, you realize what a great lesson you are learning from the exhibit. We must recount the people we like how we feel, how distinguished they are to us, how they have changed our lives; because everything can change in a second. I belief to do honest that as soon as my husband walks in the door tonight.

If this can be done by a TV indicate, then there is greatness in it.

I am crooked all over again. You will be too.

I have worshiped and adored Grey’s Anatomy since the second season. It’s been a ritual for me to turn off my phones and other electronic devices to glue myself to the television to peer this piquant series unfold. Although the display fell off the track in seasons 3, 4, and to some extent in the early fragment of this season; I watched every moment of it. The storyline with Izzie was honest hard to deal with at times, but i stuck by it. I am so elated I did; the last half of the season was quick-witted. SPOILERS follow: If you are a Meredith and Derek fan they have worked their issues out and are truly titanic this season. The addition of Owen Hunt has brought modern life serve to the series, and to Christina. While I wasn’t to crazy about the pairing of Sloane and Lexie, they have really grown on me. The crossover episodes with Private Practice were amazing. The hundredth episode is one of the best, but the finale is what left me with chills. From begin to conclude it is easily one of the most considerable episodes of the series. Meredith’s realization of “John Doe’s” identity as George was nothing short of astounding, the moment Izzie’s memory returns and the she flat lines took my breath away, and Meredith’s squawk over telling the audience to say “I worship you” to the people in our lives before they are gone makes you realize the importance of those three words. However the final scene is what really makes the episode, with Izzie going into the elevator with her “prom” dress, and the door opening to George dressed in his army uniform, as they both flat-line, you realize it is very likely that one of them will not approach out of this alive. That scene is truly haunting, and the song that plays in that scene “Off I Go” by Greg Laswell makes the scene truly unforgettable. One thing I noticed is that the premiere, in terms of Izzie, mirrors the finale. Izzie, at the waste of “Dream a Runt Dream of Me (fraction 2) “, gets into the elevator in her dress and it opens to Denny, who is major piece of her yarn line for the season, and in “Now or Never” the elevator opens to George. Heartbreaking, heartwarming, and rotund of unprejudiced stupid heart Grey’s does not disappoint. Seize this season of Grey’s and discover every moment, even though at times it is frustrating, I promise when you salvage to the waste it will all be worth it. If you’re anything like me, you will want to eye it again and again to gawk what you missed the first time around.

Charles Bronson (1921-2003) left us a legacy that spanned nearly five decades of acting, in many different styles. Though reliable at comedy as well as drama, he will mostly be remembered as a tough and gritty man of action, remaining very macho and dazzling contrivance into his gnarled, craggy later years, never losing that perspicacious glint in his eyes, or his masculine appeal.

“The Mechanic” is one of his best; a recent film with a taut script by John Lewis Carlino, that remains animated after many years and many viewings.

The first memorable 15 minutes of this film are tranquil except for the tense, eerie net by Jerry Fielding, and site up the character of Arthur Bishop, who is a hit man with expensive tastes and a heart of steel. It is a portion that fits Bronson like a velvet glove, with its complexity, bravado, and action sequences, which are well paced by director Winner, and photographed by Richard Kline. Jan-Michael Vincent is pleasant as the cocky, cold-as-ice young man Bishop takes on to utter his “trade”, and Jill Ireland (who was married to Bronson for many years) does well in a miniscule fragment.

Michael Winner made several films with Bronson, another approved being “Chato’s Land”, which is an novel, and very special Western.

The intricacy of the space will support you guessing; this is not your typical, predictable action movie, and like most films made in the ’70s, it is fun to behold, with its nifty fashions and slightly tacky décor.

A must gawk for those that like knowing thrillers, and a titanic film to celebrate Charles Bronson’s life and talent

Arthur Bishop (Charles Bronson) is a ‘mechanic’ — a contract killer. Given an assignment, Mr. Bishop studies his target’s habits, lifestyle and schedule, seeking weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Mr. Bishop then decides where and how to complete his assignment, using martial arts, weapons, explosives, or anything else deemed indispensable. Mr. Bishop is an expert in a stress-filled occupation, but Mr. Bishop is beginning to experience fright attacks in his daily life.

Steve McKenna (Jan Michael Vincent) is the jaded son of a deceased crime boss. At Steve’s urging Arthur accepts Steve as an apprentice. Arthur teaches Steve the tricks of the mechanic’s trade. Their first assignment together is awkward. Their next assignment is a bustle job and it blows up in their faces …

Charles Bronson’s career is marked by violent characterizations. The Arthur Bishop role is challenging because Arthur Bishop is an resplendent — Arthur Bishop treats contract killing as an art construct. If Charles Bronson normally plays bludgeon characters, Arthur Bishop is a scalpel. And Jan Michael Vincent plays Steve McKenna both with sensitivity and with his usual graceful bound. Coupled in a well-written residence, Bronson and Vincent’s performances fabricate “The Mechanic” a memorable film.

This is one of the greatest Godzilla movies ever produced, but this DVD version is far from perfect. Unfortunately, this is impartial a re-issue of the same DVD released a few years ago. The film transfer is exactly the same as the one previously released by ADV films, which has a recently re-dubbed mono soundtrack. The ADV soundtrack is remarkable scandalous to the one originally produced for American International Pictures in 1968, which featured an friendly voice-cast and a different script. Apparently the AIP version can’t be published because the ownership rights are in limbo. Based on the conceal notes, I bought this DVD believing it had the fresh AIP voice-tracks. No such luck. The folks at ADV deliberately stretch the truth. The shroud art claims it’s the “50th Anniversary Special Edition”, but Kill All Monsters was made in 1968, which makes this DVD allege the 36th anniversary for the film (in 2004) . The 50th year, is a reference to the first Godzilla movie “Gojira” made in 1954, but the text makes no mention of Gojira or Godzilla. It also claims to own “The unique motion relate and soundtrack”, which is misrepresentation. The current film was Japanese language, and this DVD isn’t even the recent English version. I would’ve been a lot less disappointed if they had at least given this version some chapter stops and stereo audio (which there isn’t) . There’s not even a menu for this outrageous budget version. If you try to hit the chapter arrive button, the movie starts over from the beginning. There’s no menus, no extras, no subtitles, no secondary audio tracks, no trailer, no nothing. The only thing that’s different from ADV’s first advise of this movie, is the cloak art and the addition of a music CD. The CD contains 30 mono-audio music tracks from the movie soundtrack. The music glean is astonishing, but the audio is not stereo and the fidelity is only dazzling. My point of contention is that ADV is trying to fool us into believing this movie has the new audio soundtrack, but instead gives you fine-print on the assist mentioning an extra music CD. Buyer beware, if you already believe the new release of this DVD, don’t be fooled into thinking this is a different version.

For the 50th anniversary of Godzilla, we have a special relelease of Kill All Monsters on DVD. This in itself is genuine, and an added attraction is that there’s a second disc — a CD of the soundtrack. But there are two downsides:

— there are no special featuers — not even a theatrical trailer.

— the dub is the poorly acted modern dub from a few years ago. The unique dub is not immense (what dubs are? Why, oh, why, don’t they also offer subtitled versions), this one is very poorly acted, more so that usual even for these types of films.

Overall, I’d calm recommend this to Godzilla fans (and I’ve been one since seeing King Kong vs. Godzilla in its new US showing at the drive-in when I was a kid), but it could have been so powerful better.

This would have to be one of my alltime favourite movies and has deservedly become a Cult SciFi Classic over the years. It concerns the passing of a comet over the Los Angeles situation turning most of it’s residents into red dust. The absolutely comely Catherine Mary Stewart plays Regina, one of the survivors . Together with her sister they try to adjust to this lonely unusual world. This movie has zombies, wrathful scientists and teenagers who calm want to go out and have a trustworthy time. I would ask Catherine to marry me but alas she is already wed. This movie is a gem!!!

I’m in complete agreement with most of the other reviewers. Please release this movie soooooooonnnnn on DVD! I have fond memories of this movie, and the soundtrack,”which I don’t deem was ever released”. Hey maybe that can be an extra bonus, releasing the soundtrack with the DVD as well! To all fans awaiting this movies’ release on DVD, I’m true there with you. Let’s retain our fingers crossed for this one!

The fable begins in the 19th-century village of Wall. But Wall isn’t your average country village — it guards a grievous, stony wall between mundane England and the fantasy kingdom of Stormhold. No one crosses the wall — except for young Drustan Thorn, whose curiosity led him to an otherworldly market and a single night of passion with a captive gypsy — or princess — and nine months later he was given a son, Tristan, who was left for him by the wall.

Flash forward 18 years, and Tristan (Charlie Cox) hopes to accept the heart of his fine but shallow appreciate, Victoria (Sienna Miller), by recovering a star that fell somewhere beyond that wall. So Tristan sets forth on his gain coast in Stormhold. Meanwhile in that magical land, the dying king (Peter O’Toole) has situation his four surviving sons on a quest for the crown. And the witch Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) is seeking the heart of the star for an entirely different purpose, one that probably will not turn out well for anyone else interested in the fable.

Despite initial trepidations over seeing a current Neil Gaiman tale converted to film, “Stardust” is all I could hope for. The settings and scenery are lush and splendid. The effects are seamless and spectacular. The gather by Ilan Eshkeri is dramatic. Narration by Ian McKellen is compelling. And the casting is exceptional, from Robert De Niro as the luscious sky pirate Captain Shakespeare to Pfeiffer as the sumptuously putrid witch.

Claire Danes is absolutely magnificent as Yvaine, who in one map or another holds the resolution of every quest. Poised, graceful and sporting a broad English country accent, Danes glows even without the succor of special effects. And Tristan Thorn is a classic everyman hero, a simple young man who grows and flourishes on his journey; Cox captures the role perfectly. A relative newcomer to the conceal, he’s without demand an actor to sight.

Gaiman is a vivid writer, a man with an imagination like no other. Fortunately, director Matthew Vaughn bucked the Hollywood trend by respecting the source material, creating a delicate film, one that will surely become a classic for generations to arrive.

by Tom Knapp, Rambles.(Derive) editor

Wall looks like fair about every other English village, but it hides a secret. It’s not jolly stale England on the other side of the wall. Few mundane English travelers ever beget it over the wall and succor. Drustan (Nathaniel Parker-Ben Barnes) is one of the few–and nine months later, a son was delivered to him at his doorstep.

The son Tristan (Charlie Cox) grows to 19 and falls in admire with Victoria (Sienna Miller) a woman well above his means. He fears his ability to rob her heart is failing, til they glance a star tumble on the other side of the wall–and Victoria tells him if he will gaze out the star, she will be his.

Thus, begins Tristan’s quest for accurate admire. Instead of a star, he finds a maiden Yvaine (Clare Danes) who turns out to be the earth-bound embodiment of the star. Unfortunately, Victoria is not the only person who wants the star.

From here, we encounter a multiplicity of dwelling complications including a King (Peter O’Toole) who sets his sons against each other in a fight for succession to the throne, a pirate (Robert DeNiro) with an engrossing secret) and a triad of witches who peruse the star to extend their lives and (ahem) beauty.

I loved reading Neil Gaiman’s sage. STARDUST is one of his best, but the film is one of those rare instances where the book has been improved. The casting for STARDUST is some of the best I have seen.

This is one of the rare films that I paid chubby designate for in the theatre and will choose the DVD for later viewing. STARDUST is going to be a fantasy classic and a titanic addition to any fantasy fan’s library.

WARNING: If you have very young children, please do not explain this film without some advisory. We saw STARDUST in the theatre with a couple of young families finish by and the littlest kids were crying at the rough parts and some families had to leave.
