Forrest Gump is a rare movie that succeeded on all levels. It was a box office break ranking among the top five highest grossing movies of all time. But it was also a valuable darling, garnering across the board praise and a truckload of awards. The movie became a cultural phenomenon, spawning cook books, quote books, a top ten soundtrack album and lines like “insensible is as dreary does” and “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna fetch” have permeated our dialect. The movie has a nostalgic, feel sterling vibe thanks to the dimwitted Forrest’s bolt through 60’s and 70’s touchstone events. Underneath all those warm feelings lies a darkness. Dreadful things happen to impartial about everyone Forrest comes in contact with. His best friend Bubba is killed in Vietnam, his other friend Lt. Dan loses both his legs, his mother dies of cancer and his beloved Jenny dies of AIDS. Even the well-known people Forrest comes across meet with worry, President Kennedy & John Lennon are assassinated, George Wallace is shot and Elvis Presley dies young. There are top-notch performances all around. Sally Field is feisty as Forrest’s mama, Mykelti Williamson is comic as Bubba, Gary Sinese as Lt. Dan is a perfect rough edged foil to Forrest and Robin Wright as Jenny portrays the confusion that young people of the times felt perfectly. While all those performances are of high quality, Forrest Gump is Tom Hanks’ tour de force. He is utterly colorful as Forrest. He is in virtually every scene of the movie and never once does he fail to astound. He becomes Forrest and makes you care what happens to him. Mr. Hanks deservedly won his second consecutive Best Actor Oscar for the role and cemented himself as the best actor of his generation and one of the best of all time.

Forrest Gump is one of the best film of all time. Definitely the best Zemeckis’s work so far and he has save so worthy soul and depth to this 1994 Academy Award winning Best Describe. This movie portrays the life of a slow-witted character who gets embroiled in various ridiculous situations. He was a Vietnam war hero, received a congressional medal of honour, shook hands with many US Presidents and was a successful owner of a microscopic company. We collect to leer many world events through the eyes of a supposedly “boring” character. The slouch and high-tail of the movie was perfect as we move through various historical events like the Vietnam War, assasination of JFK and the Watergate Scandal. Tom Hanks gave an undeniably extraordinary performance as Forrest and truly deserves the Oscar that he earned. Gary Sinise gave a genuine performance as Lieutenant Dan in the movie. Even though he was only nominated and did not collect anything, I felt he really deserves the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The scene where he pulled Forrest down from the bed and cursed him for saving his life, objective simply blew me away. Sally Field is also astonishing as Forrest’s mother and deserves the Oscar as well. The line “Forrest, you have to do your best what God has given you. Be valorous Forrest, be heroic in everything you do. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna acquire.” really moved me and brought me tears. No movie had bring such emotion in me. Robin Wright did her role well as Forrest’s worship interest and complements well to Forrest’s life. The actors truly brings the characters to life and I must salute Zemeckis for choosing the perfect cast. The technical aspect of the film is fair valid. The visual effects is unlike anything we have seen before. Many movies have not fully utilised the CGI effects to complement it. Nowadays, filmmakers honest want to exhibit what special effects they can do rather than what the special effects can do for the film. In Forrest Gump, visual effects are utilised to their best to form incredible scenes. Scenes like the flying feather, Lieutenant Dans’ missing legs, Vietnam War, meeting of the president is honest wonderful. This is what visual effects is all about. To invent impossible scenes to the stout hide. Alan Silvestri’s film acquire is one of the best scores I have ever heard. From the touching piano share at the beginning feather scene to the uplifting tune of Forrest hugging Jenny at the Washington square scene, Alan’s award-winning come by truly brings the perfect mood and emotion to the film. Every aspect of this movie is simply friendly from the eye-popping special effects, film editing, astonishing earn, sound, to the theme of the movie. This movie makes us realised that we all have a purpose in life and that we all have the ability to do the impossible. Forrest Gump tells us that we all should have strong principles and beliefs to succeed in life. Forrest only believes in 3 person. He believes in God, his momma and Jenny. Nothing can go past them. Honest scrutinize at what Forrest has achieved. He is the President of a itsy-bitsy company, a war hero, a Ping-Pong champion, and a delighted father. Forrest Gump simply tells us that we can attain anything in life as long as we achieve our best exertion and maintain in everything that we do. Forrest Gump is no doubt one the best films I have ever seen. It changes my perception of life and makes me realised that we all have a purpose in this world. We probably won’t be seeing anything like this forever. A suitable masterpiece.

Sequels faded to be about remaking the same film again and again (remember “Friday The 13th” or “Nightmare on Elm Street”? ) with minor variations so the audience gets their fix. John Carpenter, Kurt Russell and Debra Hill inverted the paradigmn reprising the best elements from “Elope from Modern York” while introducing a heavy dose of satire aimed squarely at the Proper Majority and groups of that nature. While not as memorable as that film, “Dash from L. A.” takes perfect aim at liberal Hollywood, the conservative religious moral, sequels and skewers them all tedious on most of the time.

Snake Plissken is relieve in worry. Captured again he’s establish into the service of national security against his will. It seems a way that can detonate orbital nuclear devices has been stolen by the President’s daughter and delivered into the hands of a self styled rebel leader named Cuervo Jones (George Corraface) in what’s left of Southern California. Cuervo plans on using this method against the United States. Plissken is sent to the island of Los Angeles to retreive the draw. Yes, folks the Great ONE finally hit and a broad portion of the Los Angeles basin dropped into the ocean like a ten ton weight while the remainder floats off the cruise of the United States making the perfect position to deport people who don’t have high factual fiber or generally tick off the President for life (Cliff Robertson in a bent performance) . Infected by a deadly designer virus that makes Ebola seem like the flu, Snake has no choice but to rob the job of retrieving. Malloy (Stacy Keach stepping in for the unhurried Lee Van Cleef) and Brazen (the blooming Michelle Forbes leisurely of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Homicide: Life on the Streets” and the second season of “24″) provide Snake with his only link to the outside world.

Along the contrivance Snake meets surfers (Peter Fonda), the Surgeon General of Beverly Hills (Bruce Campbell in a hilarious role that truly is the highlight of the movie) in pursuit of the design. Oh and once again Snake has one of those expansive digital watches attached to his wrist to remind him his days are numbered if he doesn’t obtain the blueprint serve in time. Filled with spacious cameos by Steve Buscemi (as Arrangement to the Stars Eddie), B-movie queen Pam Grier (as Hershe Las Palmas), Italian beauty Valerie Golino, the gradual Paul Bartel, Issac Hayes (in a cameo) and Robert Carradine “Hurry from L.A.” fair might be Carpenter’s most undervalued film (along with the expansive satire “They Live”) .

The weakest link in the film turns out to be the uneven visual effects done by Disney’s Buena Vista Visual Effects. Some of the opticals contemplate big particularly the scenes where Los Angeles gets hit by the 9.6 earthquake. The sequences consuming the mini-sub and some of the helicopters seek as if they were taken from computer games. While computer graphics were level-headed developing at the time, I’m surprised that Disney’s effects house wasn’t able to reach up with more convincing visuals for this sequence. Calm, while they aren’t what they could be they’re not the focus of the tale either and are a splendid minor predicament. Many of the best effects work quite well. The production develop by Lawrence G. Paull (”Blade Runner”, “Serve to the Future”, “Predator 2″) gives the film a noteworthy bigger sight than the budget the film had (it cost roughly $50 million to beget including the marketing allotment of the budget) . A bit of trivia about the film. Russell appears wearing the same costume he had for the first film at the beginning. Russell also made all the basketball shots seen in the climatic game himself.

Presented in its unique widescreen format with a trailer as the only extra, this was released when Paramount was playing fetch up in releasing product for the DVD market. The image quality is exceptionally superb with sizable color reproduction and a nearly flawless print (particularly when compared to the remastered re-release of “Run from Novel York”) with a nice 5.1 sound mix.

It’s too terrible this hasn’t been reissued with extras (such as a commentary from Carpenter and Russell and one or two featurettes. Heck, there’s got to be a promo allotment somewhere in Paramount’s vault about this as I seem to remember one being released to promote it) because, while isn’t quite up to “Sprint from Unique York”, “Dash from L.A.” is peaceful a memorable sequel with enough satire, parody and humor laced moments to sustain fans of the novel overjoyed. Hopefully one of these days this minor Carpenter classic will earn the re-evaluation it deserves.

When I first saw this film in the theaters, I really didn’t like it. In fact, I was ravishing let down! I had grown up with Hurry From Modern York, and to my anxiety, John Carpenter remade his gain film! I’m not kidding, REMADE it. Suitable down to Snake getting shot in the leg and limping for the last half of the film. Years later I revaluated my idea. You can’t get a film as corny as this on accident, especially if you’re a conventional director like John Carpenter; It had to be done on purpose. I’ve read numerous interviews over the years and have found out two things, and I believe these two things are the reason this film ended up the device it did. First, John Carpenter hates sequels. He never wanted to manufacture sequels to his films. He never wanted a sequel to Halloween(let alone six! That’s why he produced Halloween 3 which people hated so considerable, coz he was trying to grasp this series in a different direction and not retread the whole Michael Myers thing) . I also understand that both Carpenter and Kurt Russell were under alot of studio pressure to get this film. I don’t know what kind of favor Carpenter owed the studio, but he made this film. And my theory is that he made this film intentionally poor to say to the studio, “There, I made the stinking sequel you wanted, don’t ask me to do it again!” I mean really, if he had wanted to fabricate a sequel to Hasten From Original York, don’t you contemplate he would have struck while the iron was hot and made it at the height of the first film’s success instead of waiting 15 years? Consider about it. When I contemplate this scenario, I can stare Sprint From L.A and have a righteous laugh thinking that John Carpenter may have played a mammoth joke on the Hollywood studios. Really, there’s no plot Carpenter included that surfing scene with the map of it being taken seriously. The film is unbiased contrivance too overblown, arrangement too cheesy and obviously a carbon copy of the modern to be anything other than a joke. Kurt may be older now, but he’s actually mild able to play Snake Plissken like it’s 1980. The performance is immense, it’s objective the film surrounding Kurt that’s droll. Try watching it again and behold what you believe.

It’s downhearted in the rude that the First World War has largely fallen by the wayside. If we hear anything about the conflict at all, it’s usually on the History Channel or another network airing a documentary paunchy of grainy, sad and white clips of men stumbling over the top of trenches. Interest in historical events tends to descend off significantly when those eager pass away, and in the case of the generation that fought this horrific war not only have they exited the stage, they have left the building as well. I developed a life long interest in “the war to extinguish all wars” after seeing Peter Weir’s 1981 film “Gallipoli” in a minute, hasten down art house theater at the age of ten. I didn’t understand the historical context at the time, but this dramatic interpretation of events that unfolded in the Dardanelles during 1915 left a lasting impression on my impressionable mind. I recently rewatched the film and can say that it calm works as an intense drama and as a serious antiwar statement. Weir’s overt hostility toward the British commanders at Gallipoli, however, doesn’t stand up as well. By the device, this is one of the films that propelled Mel Gibson to international stardom.

Weir decided to focus his film not on the massive armies battling away in Europe, but on two individuals living in Australia. Archy Hamilton (Imprint Lee) and Frank Dunne (Mel Gibson) are two of the fastest runners in the country. Hamilton trains with his demanding grandfather, who promises the young lad that if he works hard he may yet go down as the next national sports hero. Frank, on the other hand, wanders around the country with a few buddies taking any job he can gain and generally impartial having a lot of fun. News of the escalating war in Europe is vague and distant, referenced only when someone brings up a news fable they saw in the paper. Archy wants to go and fight, attracted by the lure of glory that has suckered millions of young people since the dawn of time into distress. Frank doesn’t consider of war as glory, and when his pals bring up the conception of enlisting he quietly makes his status known. Both of these young men’s lives are forever changed after the demolish up competing against each other in a foot accelerate at a regional magnificent. Archy barely wins, but a friendship develops between the two that soon finds Frank tagging along when Archy decides to enlist in the famous cavalry. Frank agrees to join with Archy, once he discovers that the ladies fancy a soldier, but goes into the infantry after failing to qualify for the light horse unit.

It really doesn’t matter anyway since horses won’t manufacture a bit of disagreement when the ANZAC (Australian and Novel Zealand Army Corps) soldiers head first to Egypt and then the Dardanelles for combat against the Ottoman Turks. What the war danger needs are bodies superb of running headlong into a withering wall of machine gun fire, and cavalry troops minus their steeds will work in this capacity unbiased as well as infantrymen. Before they near the killing fields, Archy and Frank reunite during a training employ in Egypt. Hamilton convinces his commander to enlist Dunne in the cavalry, claiming that his skills as a runner rival his maintain and that both men will create a major contribution to the regiment. Weir shows us plenty of carefully crafted scenes of the men having a qualified time in Cairo, of the deepening camaraderie taking station even as the war looms larger and larger in the background. The movie takes a doom and gloom turn as the ANZAC forces land at Gallipoli to remove section in the fighting. Casualties mount as attacks designed to expand the beachhead fail under Turkish machine guns. Soon, Archy and Frank know they will have to go over the top too, and realize they will certainly perish in the process. The conclusion to “Gallipoli” is one of the most emotionally grinding, soul shattering denouements in motion describe history.

The only thing I found extremely irritating about “Gallipoli” is the cheesy synth musical net, which now sounds so early 1980s that it dates the describe terribly. I believe the message about how people join up to go to war for all the unfavorable reasons, however, is tranquil highly relevant. And if there was any war that everyone should have avoided, it was World War I. Generals and leaders serene subscribed to antiquated notions of warfare, never taking into narrative machine guns, poison gas, and airplanes would decimate the troops. The fatalities were truly appalling, with millions perishing in muddy trenches during the four year conflict. Weir expertly depicts the squalid conditions of the trenches, but he goes too far blaming the film’s fatal charge on the British commanders. First of all, far more British soldiers died during the campaign in the Dardanelles than did members of ANZAC. Second, why status the onus for the war on the British? Plenty of commanders on all sides made mistake after mistake in this conflagration, mistakes that resulted in so many fatalities that it’s a wonder humanity didn’t rise up and cast their leaders into the fire.

“Gallipoli” wins the day in the ruin thanks to the charm of Sign Lee and Mel Gibson. Weir’s cinematography sinks its claws in as well. Check out the shots of the Australian outback, the Red Atrocious party, and the landing at Gallipoli to learn why. The transfer looks advantageous, but the only extra on the disc is a short interview with Weir about the making of the film. I wanted a commentary track for this film desperately, and quiet hope a special edition will advance on the market in the reach future. If you haven’t seen “Gallipoli,” check it out soon.

There’s been a few things said about this movie, several reviewers mentioned that it was slow-moving, and another pointed out with exasperating pedantry the historical inaccuracies, but I’d like to say that I mediate ‘Gallipoli’ is a wonderful movie. It was well shot and well acted, the characters were genuine and believeable, the win was magnificient, the chronicle was enthralling, and although the script had less action than, say, ‘Saving Private Ryan’ it also wasn’t wasteful – one wouldn’t have cared about the people if one didn’t know them.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gallipoli! Click Here

Which is also the point. If `Gallipoli’ wasn’t historically just, and it’s tough to relate a yearlong fable in an hour and a half, one does obtain the point. Which, of course, is that wars, especially this one, and especially this battle, are boring, self-serving and pointlessly destructive endeavors.

I’m dumbfounded by the reviewer who chose to lambaste the portrayal of the British officers in the campaign. I’m surprised an Aussie would say that, but then again there’re plenty of Yanks who’ll second guess Harry S Truman from now till the kill of time, so who am I to believe. While I’m the first to admit that those words were probably not said, I have to contain that the blue blood of the capital officers taught them not to give a damn about the sweat and blood of some terrible sons-of-criminals from a lost colony. I’m not alone, and I quote from John Merriman’s History of Fresh Europe, p1059, “Other [historians] agree with most contemporaries who believed that [Gallipoli] was a needless diversion dictated by British colonial interests in the Middle East and for which Australian and Novel Zealander troops paid a disproportionate impress.”

The aristocratic attitude of the officers in the Broad War was the single thing that caused the casualty rates The well-bred officers didn’t care that they were sending men with bolt-action rifles against entrenched machine guns because they were honest peasants (or Australians) anyway. That is the historical truth, and I for one like how it came out in the training sequence as well as the battle sequences of this movie. It belongs in the collection of anybody who doesn’t want to go to war.

I saw this film when it opened on July 24, 2009. Mixed reviews from fans and critics were the usual flair upon its release, but something struck me about this movie. The film went on to harmful $37 million at the box-office despite the thrashing it took from critics, but everyone couldn’t abet but explore the Oscar-nomination expedient performance of its 12-year-old star Isabelle Fuhrman. I fair viewed the film on DVD for the first time since its theaterical rush and I’m quiet seeing fair how riveting and piquant this movie really is.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Orphan! Click Here

“Orphan” is NOT a alarm film. It’s more along the lines of a SUSPENSE THRILLER. When I judge of scare films, I reflect of sex-crazed teenagers being sliced up one-by-one by a machete-wielding maniac (Jason Voorhies, Freddy Krueger, Micheal Myers, etc.) . The only steady weapons wielded here is objective a hammer, a knife, and a .38-caliber pistol. You reflect scary when it comes to anxiety films and “Orphan” isn’t scary. Has some unpleasant moments, yes, but scary? Wishful thinking!

Set in the winter-bound parts of Conneticut & Canada, the account centers on the Coleman family: Kate (Vera Farmiga), a Yale University music teacher recovering from alcoholism and bouts of depression after having a stillborn from her third pregnancy; John (Peter Sarsgaard), an architech whose nice guy persona overshadows his increasing issues with Kate that led to past affairs; Max (Aryana Engineer), their deaf 5-year-old daughter who communicates through stamp language and their oldest son Daniel (Jimmy Bennett), who feels bitterly neglected & increasingly isolated from his parents. As a plot of coping with the loss of their would-be 2nd daughter, Jessica, and to amend their existence as a family, Kate & John compose a fateful decision to adopt a young girl at the local orphanage.

It is here where they meet Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman), a sweet-looking 9-year-old Russian girl harboring some deep-seeded issues of her beget despite her angelic smile and sympathetic mannerisms. Upon arriving home with unique stepdaughter in tow, a series of events unravel to beget everyone ask the background and sincerity of this microscopic girl. Daniel dislikes her immediately, Max forms an unhealthy bond with her current stepsister, Kate begins to contemplate out further information about Esther’s background, & John honest plays Devil’s Advocate with all that occurs engaging Esther. What’s unfriendly with Esther? Is it fair that unhurried the smile of this small angel beats the heart of a psycho killer?

The retort, and the tall secret about who she really is, lies within the confines of this 123-minute thriller. I agree with everyone here that it moves at a near-torturous snail’s toddle, that being the film’s major fatal flaw. But the chronicle itself is so entralling and racy, you can’t serve but to excuse that misfire. Fuhrman’s performance alone keeps you interested in the twists and turns entrenched here. Only a young, superbly talented actress like Fuhrman was able to pull off a psychological undertaking of switching from sympathetic manipulator to worried sadist and it’s why I feel she should procure an Oscar nod. But due to the overall disapprove of the film itself from most critics and for her young age, she probably won’t rep anywhere approach sniffing distance of the balloting.

Nonetheless, I was so inspired by this film and became such a fan that I created my gain 20-song, hard-rock CD Mix (liner notes & all) of songs inspired by the movie (my gain psuedo-soundtrack, if you will, but John Ottman’s fetch was frigid) . Seemingly destined to go down as a cult popular, if not a classic, “Orphan” was a solid & delectable thrill stride that’s essentially “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle”, “The Valid Son”, “The Crush”, and a more mean-spirited version of “Pickle Child” all rolled into one. That’s why this movie isn’t a apprehension despite being classified as one. This film has a depth, substance, and intuitiveness to it that Jason, Micheal, & Freddy couldn’t touch with a bloddy axe. Objective consume sweet, miniature Esther home and let her enjoy you, thrill you, kiss you, …. extinguish you!!! Can someone out there please say “CULT CLASSIC”? – DEM –

Many people salvage that describing the movie to give a movie review is the plan to go. Usually, I refrain, but on this occasion, I will include the set. A husband and wife, already with two children of their bear (one who is deaf) lose their third child during labor. They resort to adopting an orphan–a 9-year-old, seemingly smart and kind-hearted, puny Russian girl. Remarkable to their dread, what seems to be the perfect adoption turns into anything but. The movie moves at a insensible but certain saunter for the first 45 minutes or so, but then the rockin’ starts to rollin’ as the memoir spirals into a cacophony of strangeness accompanied with mountains of vindictive mayhem. Many reviews I have read had a predicament with the twist; I view it to be VERY Wintry, and something that could become reality in the realm of possibility, which makes it all the more founded, thus being all the more horrific. Unprejudiced before the twist; however, something happened that made me believe, “Okay, here we go…apt abet into the comic Hollywood scare film crap that has been bombarding us throughout the beginning of the current century.” But when the twist hits and everything finally makes sense, I was thankfully pulled from that jabber of concept and taken help into a bizarre and fabulous anecdote. Gloomy Castle Entertainment has done a LOT of movies that I simply fancy (Gothika, Ghost Ship, and Thirteen Ghosts.) This one will have to go into that group of five-star movies. Don’t miss it!

FIVE STARS ***** for everything being done the procedure it should be done!

Although the dependable DVD position isn’t out as of the time I write this, the 4th season finished airing months ago and now since they have the page for pre-order up, I’ve been kinda itching to write a review.

Well as this season starts off from the 3rd season cliffhanger, it is definately off to an awesome originate. Atlantis lost, adrift in region and running out of power. To conserve energy, they shrink the shield down to a tiny share of the city and then what happens? …Atlantis runs into an asteroid belt! Then to procure more power, they actually raid the Asuran homeworld for ZPM’s using Dr. Weir! A very fascinating beginning.

While the majority of episodes are hits, such as the episode where a disease causes everyone to lose their memories(Tabula Rasa) or the one where Teal’c comes for a visit(Midway) ; there are some that descend short of their potential for giving more or are unprejudiced listless dead! For example: the end-season cliffhanger! This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with an Atlantis cliffhanger, not leaving me anxiously keen to study how they derive out of that station, waiting for the next season. It ends with Sheppard and his team searching a building for Teyla, but it self-destructs and collapses in on them. (Zzzzzz…you know they survive it) A better plot to extinguish the season would have been to leave Sheppard stranded 48,000 years in the future, revealing more about what happened in the galaxy in all that time and trying to figure out a diagram to acquire abet home with the McKay hologram’s new thought failing to work! Now that sounds like one hell of a cliffhanger!

I reviewed season 3 as well, saying it gives potential for an awesome season 4. Does it live up to that potential? It comes conclude, but unfortunately no it doesn’t. Why? It impartial seems like the shows creators/writers aren’t willing to go all the plot in some of the episode’s stories. For that matter, I can’t figure out what direction the exhibit is headed in anymore; can you? (I occupy the demonstrate IS going in some direction)

At least this time around they gave more attention to the Wraith and to Teyla. The whole sage arc with the Athosian people being kidnapped and Teyla’s search for them, both expanded, and renewed some interest, in her character. In my season 3 review I also stated my common character is McKay, but even I am starting to salvage tired of seeing him so remarkable in every episode.

Dr. Weir was officially lost this season, then killed, then…kinda came befriend? But fortunately we regained some archaic faces. Dr. Beckett (or at least a clone) came befriend at an raze of the season episode. And while I liked having Samantha Carter as the Atlantis commander, unprejudiced like Dr. Weir in season 3, they didn’t exercise her character enough!

Which leads us to season 5. SPOILERS AHEAD! I’ve read various sources about what season 5 of Atlantis will have instore for us fans & veiwers, and most have been confirmed. The biggy for me being that Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) will NOT be assist as Atlantis’ commander. (Due to the fact she’ll be staring in her fill expose, “Sanctuary”.) But she will approach attend for some guest appearances. Who’s replacing her? Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo)! I have completely mixed feelings about his character, but he definately doesn’t have what it takes to advise Atlantis! So unless he grows a pair and proves himself as something other than a cowering beaurocrat, this alone makes me dangerous about season 5 as well as the future of the indicate. Dr. Beckett and Dr. Daniel Jackson will guest star in some episodes, as well as 2 unique characters and an entirely unusual hasten being introduced.

Don’t regain me unsuitable, I composed really like Atlantis and am going to bag the season 4 DVD once it’s released, but I must say this is the first time I am unsafe about how the next season will choose shape, or if it will even be any favorable? Let’s honest hope season 5 will note me bad!

The season 4 DVD region itself will have the usual: commentaries, deleted scenes, etc. However, this will be the first Atlantis season DVD that will have a bloopers reel.

**UPDATE: Well, Season 4 came out today, I’ve got it and am watching it proper now. Physical DVD-wise, the video and sound is level-headed huge like seasons 2 & 3. Packaging is the same as well. The menus are different from seasons 2 & 3 DVD’s, but are unruffled cool-looking and are easy to navigate. (You don’t have to go through a lot of submenus to find what you are looking for.) Hope this latest info helps anyone!

Surprisingly, season 4 of Stargate Atlantis is better than season 3–it is unprejudiced about on par with season 2. Most of the storylines are decent, with some very exquisite ones; even with the mostly annoying characters, this season is tolerable.

Lt. Col. John Sheppard has deviated from his Jack O’Neill Jr. behavior, now becoming a standard yet spineless character; when faced with most women, he’s serene and weak-willed, barely standing up for himself–unlike his decisive attitude around men. Col. Samantha Carter, taking the residence of Dr. Weir, is a favorable and strong leader–at times, she is the only one to issue up for the honest course of action. Dr. Rodney McKay, barely changing in the slightest, remains arrogant and smug; however, Carter can sometimes shut him up with a well-placed comment, which is quite satisfying. Teyla, although the victim of a sometimes pathetic location twist, is very faintly better than she was in season 3, sometimes offering up Athosian wisdom for those in need. Ronon is, in my idea, the best character in the show: he is on occasion the only person with accepted sense, and also tells it exactly like it is.

As for the episodes:

Adrift–5 of 10–We assume up where we left off in season 3, with the city floating in plot and losing power. The whole of this episode is spent on creating and solving jam upon problem: an asteroid belt threatens the city, as well as badly damaged power conduits and loss of shield protection. This goes on until it ends in a very unsatisfactory manner. I couldn’t assist but mediate that a better solution could have been found to the main, crippling quandary of this episode.

Lifeline–7 of 10–Even with the abominable ending of `Adrift’, this episode finishes things up very nicely, with a dauntless mission and fearless support from the wounded Dr. Weir. Rodney of course discovers something else that they could try to do while going through with their unique mission; I expected things to go from terrible to worse and their plans to fail, but thankfully everything went well, with the city actually surviving somewhat unscathed. This is a obedient ending to a abominable dilemma.

Reunion–8 of 10–Ronon stumbles upon three of his friends from Sateda (his home planet) and wonders whether he should leave Atlantis to end with them. The Satedans are actually slightly dislikeable, being somewhat boorish and rough around the edges; they influence Ronon far too mighty at times, but they have an unpredictable secret that almost dooms Ronon. As with mostly all episodes focusing on Ronon, this is enjoyable–although it features some very unusual fight scenes…

Doppelganger–4 of 10–Sheppard touches a crystalline object on an alien planet and soon appears in everyone’s nightmares. The view tedious this episode is interesting; but throughout it, I was laughing! Unintentionally, it becomes more of a shadowy comedy instead of horrific and inspiring. Something about Sheppard being the villain in each and every nightmare is actually quite humorous.

Travelers–3 of 10–Sheppard is captured by a odd ship and tries to rush while dealing with the ship’s stereotypically resplendent commander. This episode might actually outdo season 2’s `Grace Under Pressure’ in terms of being annoying. Larrin, the commander, is anything but military, even though she lives on her tattered ship; her hair is long and flowing, she wears tight sunless leather, and she saunters through the corridors like a fashion model. When she gets what she wants, her attitude is predictably smug–when she doesn’t bag what she wants, she becomes pugnacious and petulant, at one point stomping her foot and hollering like a twelve-year-old. All in all, this is useless.

Tabula Rasa–9 of 10–In an amazingly estimable and captivating episode, Rodney finds himself tied to his desk, with almost total memory loss, and weird instructions from a recording of himself. The explanation of the memory loss is logical and understandable; the adventures ensuing are intelligent and mysterious; the flashbacks to hours earlier are nice and enlightening; and it all serves to develop an episode I heartily enjoyed!

Missing–6 of 10–Teyla and Keller, traveling to utilize a day at the modern Athosian settlement, accept that the people are missing; they encounter the harmful Bola Kai tribesmen wandering the planet and must screen for dismay of engage and death. In this episode, Keller at last shows her mettle–after whimpering and moaning for most of the time, she finds her inner courage and faces a unsafe enemy. The largest spot with the episode, though, is that in all other season 3 and 4 episodes, I saw no mention of the Athosians being relocated to another planet. I have no notion when they got there!

The Seer–8 of 10–Still searching for the Athosians, Teyla seeks out a illustrious seer–the leader of a group of people on another planet–and finds that he knows mighty about Atlantis’ future. Although the seer himself doesn’t have powerful to do, his visions predict quite a bit of pains for Atlantis; meanwhile, the team finds themselves inextricably linked with the Wraith in order to fight the Replicators. With the amount of adventures involved–and the very microscopic amount of mistakes made–this episode is very splendid.

Miller’s Crossing–5 of 10–Rodney’s sister Jeannie is kidnapped and, in searching for her, Rodney stumbles into a trap. This episode gives Rodney and Jeannie a chance to argue and sulk, which they are both quite pleasant at. Unprejudiced as in season 3’s `McKay and Mrs. Miller’, the premise itself is not very sound; the decisions that Rodney, Jeannie, and even their kidnapper design are foolish; as a plus, Jeannie decides to call Rodney by his actual name, Meredith, through the entire episode–even though he has already told her that he goes by the name of Rodney. Like before, this is rather worthless.

This Mortal Coil–9 of 10–After a unusual drone from an unknown source crashes into the city, the denizens of Atlantis slowly initiate to realize that there’s something fresh going on. At the beginning, this episode is a game of `what’s snide with this report? ‘ Once the truth is finally known–shocking not only the team, but myself as well–the team must work to avert inconvenience and provide wait on…but those who need wait on are the most unlikely of people!

Be All My Sins Remember’d–7 of 10–Since the Replicators are attacking more and more planets, the team decides to determine things once and for all. Larrin, clichéd commander of the Traveler warship, gets an appearance; when Sheppard comes to her–virtually groveling for her assist instead of candidly asking for it–she decides to tie him to a chair (apparently a running gag) . What’s nice is that Col. Ellis, commander of the Apollo, finally manages to give Rodney a allotment of his mind before they all go off to fight the Replicators. In the destroy, though a recent and gross enemy is revealed to us in the audience, although the team knows nothing of them.

Spoils of War–7 of 10–The team, led by a signal from Todd’s subspace tracking draw, stumbles on a top secret Wraith outpost, where they will get many threats. Teyla finally gets a chance to wait on out, with as distinguished courage as ever, while Sheppard, Rodney, and Ronon glance the facility. A Wraith queen is spotlighted and gets to exclaim and spit in the usual over-the-top manner. Although this episode is contrived in spots, it mild is somewhat decent.

Quarantine–6 of 10–After the city mistakenly quarantines itself, many of the main characters get themselves trapped together, giving them a chance to learn more about each other. We salvage that Dr. Zelenka raises pigeons; Dr. Keller graduated from college at age 15; and other assorted runt tidbits. Rodney is of course featured prominently in this episode, as he is in almost all of them. The extremely worthy allotment about this episode is that Dr. Zelenka finally gets a chance to do something superb for the entire city. Otherwise, it’s the usual, mediocre at best.

Harmony–4 of 10–Sheppard and Rodney agree to shepherd a young princess on a rite of passage; in a reverse of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s `The Dauphin’, the girl–who bears the Earth name Harmony–develops a crush on Sheppard. This results in her acting somewhat like The Lord of the Rings’ Gollum, pretending to weep in Sheppard’s arms while smirking at Rodney instead. She is the classic spoiled-brat child, not caring whether Sheppard or Rodney survive their mission, and explaining her actions with the words “I’m the queen!” Throughout most of the episode, I could stare all the major events coming easily. This is a light, very faintly comedic episode that is worth seeing only once.

Outcast–6 of 10–Sheppard’s father dies and he comes home to Earth for the funeral, but then finds himself in grand deeper effort than he expected. His polished brother wears a savor suit and has perfectly coiffed hair; his ex-wife, even with her nightclub-style outfit, works implausibly for the Department of Homeland Security; strangely, Sheppard finds himself at a complete loss for words every time he encounters either of them. Otherwise, the main storyline–featuring Replicators, as well as an unexpected appearance by a archaic supporting character from season 1–is decent at the very least. Of course, there are some record points that I can eye coming…but then again, that’s moral for almost all the episodes.

Trio–8 of 10–Carter, Rodney, and Keller are trapped in a ancient Genii mine that is racked by tremors. Thankfully, Rodney doesn’t derive to note great of his very annoying tendencies in this episode, although contributing an notion on how to escape; Carter and Keller also do their separate parts, trying to catch out before the tremors demolish the mine. While this is the standard `a pickle arises, and most attempts to solve it fail miserably’ episode, it manages to be curious because of the interaction between the three characters. All three of them show themselves by map of dauntless actions.

Midway–10 of 10–With Ronon about to be evaluated by the IOA, Carter decides that Teal’c could thunder the Satedan noteworthy. However, when times grow tough, Ronon and Teal’c must work together to do Earth. This is by far the best episode of season 4, featuring a sterling crossover and hideous problems. There is a mountainous (and regrettably short) fight scene between Ronon and Teal’c, featuring Chuck the gate technician taking bets on who will accumulate. Even with the tribulations, the two warriors work well together; however, in the meantime, Sheppard and Rodney derive themselves in equal worry. I worship this episode not only because of Teal’c, but also because of the though-provoking and plausible predicament. If only every Atlantis episode had the astonishing writing this one does!

The Kindred, Piece 1–6 of 10–In a slightly challenging decline from `Midway’, Teyla finds herself having visions of Kanaan, the father of her child, and feels that she must search at a definite village. In the meantime, a sudden plague is sweeping through the galaxy. Almost everything in this episode results in disaster; Teyla–while searching for her people–is captured, and Sheppard and the other team members accept that a familiar and annoying villain is gradual the plague. Todd, the jolly Wraith, gives them limited assist and asks for it in return, but in the slay his information does them no fine. The very last moment of the episode features a surprising return from a much-beloved character…

The Kindred, Section 2–7 of 10–While Teyla finds her people again, Sheppard and friends try to win her with the serve of the newly returned character (whose identity I will not pronounce) . That person has quite a few health problems, which lessen his/her ability to help; in the meantime, Teyla learns more about the experiments being performed on some of her people. In the destroy, information is gathered and the Athosians are rescued, but Teyla remains a prisoner. Even though the villain in this two-part episode now has the usual mad-scientist qualities, this episode is far from unpleasant. The destroy is tragic as the returned character takes his/her leave from his/her friends. Not dreadful!

The Last Man–7 of 10–Sheppard comes through the gate and finds that he’s been sent 48,000 years in the future; naturally, Rodney–once Sheppard went missing–came up with a hologram of himself that is programmed to support Sheppard in any procedure possible. Most of the episode is taken up by reminisces of events taking location after Sheppard vanished–there are many things that go execrable, such as Michael predictably trying to rob over the galaxy. While Sheppard tries to obtain a blueprint out of the future, the hologram of older Rodney tells him stories of Ronon, Carter, Teyla, Keller and Rodney himself too. This episode is beneficial because of its similarities to the Star Trek: Voyager series finale, but unfortunately the ending is rushed.

How could a movie fanatic go injurious with this one? Sidney Pollack directing, with Francis Ford Coppola helping out with the adaptation of a Tennessee Williams play? A immense cast, with especially memorable performances from Natalie Wood, Kate Reid and Mary Badham (as younger sister, Willie Starr)? Roberts Redford and Blake and Charles Bronson thrown in for lagniappe? Sounds like ample gumbo to me.

Natalie Wood is absolutely alluring in this one. She and Redford, who also teamed together in the memorable INSIDE DAISY CLOVER, did indeed appear to have a lot of veil chemistry. He is the cynical company man who appears like the Grim Reaper in a miniature, shabby, depression-era southern town, carrying pink slips with him, instead of a scythe. The role has a lot of resonance now, what with all the corporate downsizing currently going on. Needless to say, the townfolk don’t grand cotton to Mr Owen Legate, with his adore suit and self-assured ways.

With a couple distinguished exceptions. Tom boyish Willie Starr is taken by him correct away and the little her expansive sister Alma sets eyes on him, she’s putty. Wood’s expression in that initial peruse is share of film history.

Owen further antagonizes the townfolk because they peer that Alma has taken a shine to an outsider. Alma’s been something of a tramp up this point, givining it up to varying degrees to most of the men in the town. Several of them, including an archaic geezer with an invilid wife, have been fantazising about further adventures with Alma. And Alma’s mother is upset with Owen, because she sees that he is going to pick away her gravy disclose. Hazel Starr is one of Williams’ grand eccentric female characters, and perhaps his most unctuous (though Amanda Wingfield, in THE GLASS MENAGERIE, is no prize, either. Kate Reid is perfect in the role. This, to me is her most memorable performance, followed closely by her title role in AND MISS REARDON DRINKS A Itsy-bitsy, which unfortunatley appears to be impossible to regain. It’s hard to occupy she never won an Oscar or a Tony.

This was only the second feature film that Pollock directed. He of course went on to spacious things with such films as THEY SHOOT HORSES DON’T THEY and TOOTSIE. He and Cinematographer James Wong Howe do a immense job of capturing dinky southern town lethargy, as well as 30’s Fresh Orleans ambience. The print, unfortunately, could definitely spend a fat restoration. It’s passe noticeably over time. The film certainly warrants the extra work. Yet time cannot wither Natalie Wood. She’s unexcited one of the most elegant women a camera ever made admire to. This film definitely belongs advance the top of the list for veil adaptations of Williams’ plays.

BEK

When I first saw this film, as a preteen, I view it was the ultimate romance. Well, I got older … and saw it again. And it’s level-headed pleasing romantic. In fact, it’s collected a film I inspect over and over.

Buy,Download, Or Stream This Property Is Condemned! Click Here

The performances are really juicy. Everyone in it seems to understand the over-the-top quality of Tennessee Williams, and no one disappoints. You’ll come by Charles Bronson and a very young Robert Blake in supporting roles here. Both Kate Reid, as Wood’s driving, ambitious `Mama’ using her handsome daughter to hook the town’s men, and Mary Badham, as `Willie’, the not-so-beautiful younger sister who idolizes Wood, are quite simply top-notch. Every disappear, every watch from both are truly sublime.

Natalie Wood has always been one of my celebrated stars, and she is every shuffle the star in this one. It’s distinct from her first closeup how special, how different, and how interesting Alva Starr is to everyone she comes in contact with. She meets her match in Robert Redford, the man who has no dreams, who sees her in unvarnished dark and white but comes to delight in her need to color life … in fact, realizes he can’t live without it when he’s separated from her.

Is it vast drama? No. But it’s splendid soap opera. The best soap opera, the most memorable Southern soap opera, you’re likely to procure. These people have steady problems, exact needs, and they’re beautifully drawn by the screenwriters (thank you, Francis Coppola, among others) and by the actors who play them. We’re given a lot of time to know them and care about them, and we do care, very mighty.

It’s one of my celebrated guilty pleasures, and I quiz I’ll support watching it for years to reach. Don’t miss it.

One of the huge pleasures of Quentin Tarantino movies is the wonderfully inventive casting that he employs. In PULP FICTION, he revived the career of John Travolta, made Samuel Jackson a star, pushed Bruce Willis into another echelon and even helped score Ving Rhames off to a apt inaugurate. In JACKIE BROWN, he burnished Pam Grier & Robert Forster’s careers. In Demolish BILL, he reinvented Uma Thurman and reinvigorated David Carradine. Even in DEATH PROOF, he introduced the world to the astonishing stuntwoman Zoe Bell and gave Kurt Russell the kind of section he’s missed out on for too long.

And now, wonderfully, in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, he’s introduced the American viewer to some stellar European actors, namely Melanie Laurent and particularly Christoph Waltz, now an easy popular for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

Tarantino also frequently tries the patience of his viewers with his rococo dialogue and insistence on constantly reminding us that we’re watching a movie. In PULP FICTION, all his “habits” were unusual and unusual to most viewers (because, really, how many of us had seen RESERVOIR DOGS before we saw FICTION? ), but over time, we learned that Tarantino was often unprejudiced a tiny too jubilant with his maintain screenwriting and often too elated with his maintain directing. In a completely off-the-wall share like the priceless Slay BILL films, everything worked to produce a crazy-quilt whole. In INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, he’s too clever for his contain first-rate at times.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Inglourious Basterds! Click Here

BASTERDS tells the completely unfounded memoir of how World War II might have ended had a group of bloodthirsty, highly trained American Jews been allowed to infiltrate Nazi occupied France with no mission other than to buy Nazi scalps. Oh, and how that mission needed to collide with one fateful night when all the top leadership of Germany attended the gala opening of a unusual propaganda film held at a movie theatre owned by a heavenly French girl who was actually a Jew who had escaped a massacre that had taken her entire family and now she’s twisted on revenge at any cost. And of how her goal coincides with that of an undercover British agent who unbiased happens to be a German film scholar and a German double agent who happens to be a movie star.

I know that sounds a exiguous confusing. To Tarantino’s credit, the state as laid out in this 150 petite film is actually easy to follow. In fact, he’s save everything into easy-to-digest chapters. It does ask us to enjoy that every indispensable member of the German government & military would all assemble in a fairly public residence at one time…but if you can catch past that hurdle, there is powerful vicarious pleasure to be had in watching WWII reinvented by Tarantino.

By far, the best section of the film is Chapter 1. It features Waltz as SS officer Col. Hans Landa in what is easily the most chilling portrayal of a Nazi since Ralph Fiennes donned the uniform in SCHINDLER’S LIST. Fiennes role (and that entire incandescent movie) were for altogether different purposes. Landa comes off more like a Nazi Hannibal Lecter (without the weird dining preferences) …he’s a bit of a lone wolf in his maintain party. He’s feared by all, because he has a extraordinary BS detector that helps him root out deception at every turn. In the opening scene, which plays out like a exquisite one-act play, Landa comes to a humble French farmhouse and speaks with the owner. We know the owner is hiding Jews beneath his floorboard, and we’re fair obvious Landa knows it too. Fair how he gets that information, through one of the most tense interrogation scenes you’ll ever spy, is a joy to stare. You literally procure yourself not breathing. I leaned forward in my seat. And yet there is never a raised mumble, nor a threatening gesture. The screws are applied through intensity of manner. Waltz instantly makes his character a classic. Tarantino the writer has crafted gleaming dialogue, and Tarantino the director films it all with rare taste and simplicity, and Waltz knocks it out of the park.

The rest of the film is more uneven. While Brad Pitt is a goofy delight as Aldo Raine, leader of the Basterds…it’s a performance that is more campy than believable. His Basterds, including folks like director Eli Roth and B.J. Novak from TV’s “The Office” are fairly interchangeable. And strangely, we glimpse forward to them conducting Ruin BILL PT. ONE type mayhem, yet they actually utilize relatively dinky screentime showing them in action. There is one short, effective scene of their occupy effect of interrogation…but mostly we have to seize the word of other characters (like Hitler himself) that these guys are wreaking havoc on the Nazis.

And during one jarring moment, we are introduced to one of the basterds with a blast of `70s era Blaxploitation music and a `70s era title card. Why? Yes, it was comic…but it took everyone totally out of the spell the movie was weaving. Objective as having Michael Myers, in thick but unconvincing makeup, play a British officer hatching a contrivance to blow up a movie theater, was very distracting. Myers accent is impeccable, and he plays the allotment straight…but he’s unexcited unmistakably Myers and many audience members snickered when they recognized him. Very distracting.

It’s as though Tarantino doesn’t quite acquire that he can get a straightforward film and have it be riveting. Too dreadful…because when he gets out of his believe device (as he mostly does in the climactic sequences of the film), INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is a cinematic treat. The fair settings and gorgeous costumes even gave Tarantino a chance to exhibit off and have it fit the tone of the film…but he serene insists on going off the rails. “Hey, this is a Tarantino movie!” he seems to want to sob at us. And this causes him to net in the plot of the delicate Melanie Laurant, who plays the vengeful theater owner. I’ve never seen her before, and she is an entrancing presence, whether in casual slacks or a aesthetic formal red dress. She dominates the final portions of the film.

I had a large time at this film, and I recommend it fairly highly. But with 10 minutes less of the sometimes too clever dialogue and 5 minutes less of Tarantino’s showboating, and we might have had a proper classic of suspense. Study it, though, because the two performances I mentioned are worth the note of admission…heck, the opening scene is worth it.

A team of American guerillas terrorizing Nazis gradual enemy lines, a Jewish woman (Melanie Laurent) running a movie theater in occupied France, and a feared SS officer (Christoph Waltz) deplorable paths with explosive consequences.

Writer/director Quentin Tarantino’s WWII adventure is inspiring, but overrated. The running time of nearly three hours flew by, and I was riveted by the stories of the woman and the Nazi; however, the Basterds themselves did not enjoy my interest for a moment. Brad Pitt, as their leader, really stands out for his poor performance when contrasted with the many astonishing but lesser known actors in this film, such as Diane Kruger playing a German movie star who is also a double agent. Tarantino’s gimmicks are not as numerous as they are in some of his other projects, but they are jarring when they occur. Many recognize them as exuberant nods to B-movie history, but they strike me as indulgences that rarely encourage the epic. Nevertheless, the rest of the film is so pleasurable that I have no wretchedness recommending it.

And the diagram he ends WWII is a lot more satisfying than the scheme it really ended.

My son was diagnosed with Pervasive Development Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified when he was 3. PDD-NOS is on the Autism spectrum, and children with this diagnosis often have developmental delays.

My son had a speech delay and other developmental delays. His speech is immense now…no one can detect that he has this diagnosis. However, the delays have, understandably, affected his learning in some areas.

While his spatial skills have been method above average–as has his catch of science (such as planets and their attributes) –he has resisted reading. He gets tired and frustrated.

Well, trying many approaches for helping him, I conception I’d recall a chance and win the Talking Words Factory from Amazon.com, especially since the reviews were so favorable.

I am very, very cheerful with this DVD! My son watches it quite often, and he’s now reading books on his fill. I can look a marked dissimilarity in a matter of WEEKS. Before, he had to believe about how some of the letters sounded. Now, he rattles them off like a pro–as well as 3-letter words!

This DVD also teaches about vowels and consonants, so he’s learning how the vowels are sticky like glue, holding words together (thanks to Professor Quigley’s Sticky-Ick-O-Rama machine!) . The Word Whammer machine shows children how to achieve the consonants and vowels together, and how they sound. I like the fact that they’ll switch around the vowels with the same beginning and ending consonants, to highlight how a vowel sounds within a word.

Talking Words Factory also teaches rhyming, which is a bonus.

Highly recommended!

I have never felt strong enough to actually catch the time to write a review. I am a certified k-6 teacher who has told everyone I know about Leap Frog’s 4 fantastic movie and now I am telling you…

LF Letter Factory: This was the first (out of 4) Leap Frog Movie that my children watched. My 3 1/2 year traditional and 2 years 2 month former boys are allowed to peep 1 movie a day. Each Day they agreed, in excitement, to watched this movie. Under a week my 3 1/2 year used knew his letter sounds. He could teach the letter sound song almost as hasty as he could divulge the alphabet. After a week, he amazed us when he sat down on the ground and wrote out the entire alphabet like a 4th grader. Had NO conception he could write like this! Shortly thereafter, the 2 year ancient knew all his letter sounds and letter recognition.

Talking Words Factory: I was so impressed that I bought them the Talking Words Factory that 2nd week. I wasn’t surprised that my 3 1/2 year obsolete began to spell, writing, and sounding out 3 letter words. He told me all about how the vowels were all sticky and their job was to stick letters together to obtain words. He went around singing the vowel song.

My kids loved the videos so grand that for 10 months…My son’s (who extinct to play with Thomas the Trains and puppies) were obsessed with letters and words. They made their absorb letter and word factory machines out of their toys and tubs, drew each letter cartoon character, and sang the letter and vowel songs, and the older one wrote, yes wrote, many of his beget homemade books.

Talking Word Factory 2: It doesn’t end there…They got the Talking Word Factory 2 and Math Circus when they came out this Christmas. In a couple of days, the now 4 year passe, was telling me all about sh, ch, th, and other blends. He told me how the mute e at the slay of the word made the other vowel say its name (long vowel sound) . He went on to direct me also how “when 2 vowels go walking the first one does the talking.” And he wrote and read recent complex words such as, boat, home, dime, wait, etc. This really increased his ability to read many, many novel words – 8 letter words too!

Math Circus: They loved it too! Though it is like a flash titillating for beginners, it is moving and has an easy view. Adding and subtracting now comes glowing easy for my 4 year traditional. I gave him a math work sheet for addition and subtraction objective for kicks. Wouldn’t you know it, he did all of them with no jam. He was so enthusiastic in adding that he started asking about problems such as 3 + 3 + 3. Which helped him learn the opinion of multiplication 3 x 3, 3 x 4, etc. But, we told him that he had plenty of time to learn that later!

The only negative comments that I have to say about these Leap Frog videos: Nothing, Oh, except that I wish my children weren’t so obsessed with letters! They eat, breath, and sleep letters. Sometimes I honest wish they would play with the trains, cars, and other toys. They will have their entire school life to learn about letters and reading! I unbiased hope that when the time comes for school that they won’t have grown board of it!

Other Leap Frog learning tools that reinforce what they learned on the videos:

LF Fridge Phonics Magnets – Savor it. It sings each letters song when you achieve the letter in the hole.

LF Word Whammer Fridge Phonics Plot – LF fair came out with this. I know that they will esteem. I bought it for the next birthday! It is like the Fridge Phonics, but you can spell 3 letter words.

LF Letter Factory Board Game – Adore it too! It is interactive and the board game talks and sings!

LF Assure Along Letters Flash Cards & CD – Songs from the DVDs. Not that you don’t hear the songs sang enough from your children!

Wish they would build computer CD’s too!

LF Leap Pad – Fun but they got board with the same books over & over. $14 a book!

There are many others, but I had to map the line somewhere!

If you check all the other reviews, I am not alone. Only two out of 121 people gave this movie less than 5 stars! It is about time someone made a movie that parents and children both agree on! Thank you Leap Frog!
