The reviewers who did not like it clearly expected something for slight kids. It is not. It is very abstract in places, especially the art, which is really quite fabulous. Recognize for the construct of the panthers, and the bats. And the landscapes. Astonishing stuff.

And the dialogue and the delivery especially is unprejudiced hilarious. How you can regain such delivery in an enthralling film is beyond me.

THE EMPEROR’S Fresh GROOVE is the funniest movie that I have seen in years. I initially had passed on watching it in the theater because I view it looked childish, but was convinced to give it a try now that it was out on video. Boy, was my initial impression atrocious.

The fable revolves around a selfish prince who is turned into a llama by one of his subjects. With the encourage of a trustworthy peasant he attempts to secure his throne, and in the process finds there’s more to him than he previously idea or wanted there to be. While the right is a noble one, it really plays a secondary role to the comedy, which is literally non-stop. GROOVE takes the rapid-fire humor that Disney perfected in Aladdin and combines it with cartoon-style hijinx, the wit of David Spade, and a hilarious lack of reverence for the archaic Disney lively genre. Spade plays his role to perfection, and luckily never crosses the line into being wicked. Seinfeld fans are in for a treat, as Puddy plays a very special side-kick role. You really can’t select your eyes off the shroud for a tiny, because you’re guaranteed to miss a gag of some sort. The humor works mainly on an adult level, even though kids will be rolling from the comical visuals and some of the more certain jokes.

The DVD itself is a worthy one. The digital transfer was first-rate and the sound quality is top notch. The commentary track is one of the better that I’ve heard, with moving and amusing insight from all contributors. Piquant menus. There’s a deleted scene that was probably best left out, but is spicy to discover anyway, plus a few other fun features.

In the waste, this is one of the best Disney flicks to near along in years. Hardcore Disney fans will eat it up. But even if you’re not a fan of Disney’s usual keen features you should give GROOVE a shot. Cast aside your pre-concieved notions and you unbiased might be in for a very estimable surprise. I was. FIVE STARS.

Yes, it’s fluff but, to the direct you the truth, I couldn’t end watching it. At first, the premise seems ludicrous – why would anyone engaged to Colin Firth be ecstatic to be married to someone else? As the circumstances of the movie unfold and one realizes that Firth is more the “splendid bet” Mr. Darcy character he is so illustrious for playing, whereas the other man is the epiphany of freedom, adventure, and excitement, the respond becomes quite distinct. At the theaters, this movie will be best enjoyed as piece of the date movie ritual; as a rental, this movie will do marvelously.

Take a movie where you have the talent of Sam Shepard, Uma Thurman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who played the Comedian in Watchmen (Director’s Nick + BD-Live) [Blu-ray]), Colin Firth, and Isabella Rossellini (titanic in the forgotten Brave), then write an impossible admire yarn in NY that falls flat. THE INTERNATIONAL is a film that wants to be two kinds of movies at once, and somewhat drops the ball on being either very effectively.

This tells the anecdote of an anguish by law enforcement officials to bring down The International Bank of Business & Commerce, the IBBC. This bank, we’re told legal from the inaugurate, is enthusiastic in weapons trading and many shady deals moving violent overthrows of governments and so forth. There is lots of globetrotting, with scenes in Luxembourg, France, Italy, the US & Turkey. These scenes are only moderately inspiring, because in the demolish, the schemes of the bank are only drawn out in the most simplistic terms (the movie wants us to FEEL that everything is richly detailed and complicated, but it really isn’t) . AND, most importantly, the actions of the bank don’t really feel entirely credible. Not that a financial institution wouldn’t align itself with some really abominable guys…but the whole thing really impartial feels like a half-baked Roger Moore-era James Bond kind of set.

The other half of the movie wants to be an action thriller of the BOURNE ilk. But the action and gunplay and forensic police work is mostly quite staid and uninspired. With one valuable exception. There is a fabulously interpret, visceral and racy gun battle status in the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Naturally, it relies on the feeble standby that all terrible guys are unpleasant shots and genuine guys seldom miss…but it’s a thrilling, stale sequence that makes the rest of the movie almost worthwhile.

Also worthwhile is the always solid presence of Clive Owen. Here’s a guy who can really act, when given the chance. He can be charming, he can be soulless…but he’s seldom plain (and he’s always vaguely half-shaved…talk about swarthy) . Yet suitable stardom has eluded him, because the truly best material doesn’t go his plot…or when something flat-out smart like CHILDREN OF MEN lands on his lap, no one goes to perceive it. Owen is the true man for THE INTERNATIONAL, though. He’s gracious of handling the talky dialogue. He seems vaguely impatient with all the chatter and politics, and impartial wants to obtain on with taking some people DOWN. And when the action does kick in, he’s not honest an impervious gunslinger…we glance precise terror and right afflict. We possess that he is a hero who COULD score killed. He brings a humanity to the most “Hollywood” of scenes and he brings movie star glamour to the most mundane of scenes. It’s an racy dichotomy.

Owen is the star of the film…no put a question to. He is in nearly every scene, and director Tom Tykwer likes to give us lots of close-ups. But Owen is assisted by a sold supporting cast, including the always welcome Naomi Watts. Her role is seriously underwritten and probably could have been handled by anyone…but it’s nice to stare her anyway. The silky-voiced, menacing Armin Muehler-Stahl also shows up as one of the head honchos from the bank. This guy has THAT character down pat, and he’s also always welcome.

Tykwer can be a tremendous director (Rush LOLA Speed is a propulsive film in the best possible intention) …and the gunfight shows where his legal talents lie. He doesn’t bring considerable zest to the talkier scenes, and I hope someone notices this and gives him a more action-packed thriller to helm.

Overall, I enjoyed THE INTERNATIONAL, but for most of its 118 minutes, I was quite aware that what I was seeing was not going to leave mighty of an impression. It’s a solid but seldom inviting movie. It wants to consider it has captured the flavor of our times, but it isn’t rooted enough in believability. If you like Clive Owen, I’d say it’s worth a view. If you’re not a particular fan…then there’s very itsy-bitsy reason to exhaust time on it. It’s a reach miss.

This film was very well done: Superior Record, Obliging acting, Pleasurable directing and camera work. It highlights one of the things in our society that noone wants to accept: government is not a grand brother that will rob care of you, but an institution. The system not only can be bought, but has been for a long time now. And, this is a very well done film about unprejudiced how that works.

Everyone thinks that the US Constitution is about giving citizens rights, but that is not what it says and not the purpose of it. It is an attempt to limit the power of government so that it doesn’t procure the power to reign over us the map governments in the rest of the world do. But people today have forgotten the simple fact that any organization that is stout enough to lift care of all your needs is large enough to catch all your rights away.

Here’s a movie for dog lovers, the elderly, children of divorce, FOBs (Friends of Birds), outmoded Boy Scouts, people yearning for adventure, and anyone who has ever loved… and lost. Up is for everyone. It made me laugh out loud, and it made me roar.

I plan it would be tough for Up to match the emotional power of Wall-E. The two Pixar films are similar in their lack of dialogue in the first act, which helps deepen the emotional impact. Up begins with Carl, a stupefied young boy star-struck by a renowned explorer; and kookie Ellie, who has a similar obsession. The two kids become rapidly friends, and bid to one day disappear to Venezuela’s Paradise Falls. After getting married, they consume their dream home and fix it up, hoping to hold it with children. Carl and Ellie’s life together from childhood through aged age is depicted, silently, with delicacy and subtlety. The first 15 minutes is like a celebration of a overjoyed marriage, and you truly feel Carl’s hurt when he is left alone. He sits slumped in his chair, talking to the house as if it is the missing Ellie.

When developers conclude in on Carl’s beloved home, he decides to fulfill his promise to Ellie and move to Paradise Falls. A old-fashioned balloon vendor, Carl lifts his home with hundreds of shiny balloons. Stowing away on the porch is Russell, a fleshy, daring kid trying to rep a scouting badge.

After landing in Paradise Falls, the aged man and the limited boy are joined by a golden retriever named Dug who can talk with his collar, and a titanic rare bird that bonds with Russell (he names her “Kevin”) . Dug is priceless: spot-on for every dog that ever lived, including an obsession with squirrels. Through a series of conclude calls and adventures, the quartet vanquishes a villain, saving the day. And Russell earns his scouting badge.

In the process, Carl learns to let go of his dismal mourning for Ellie, and live life again. When this happens, a truly magical thing happens. Before, Carl’s craggy face is gray and monochromatic. At the moment of his transformation, Carl’s face is awash in color, and he is surrounded by shapely hues. It reminded me of The Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy steps out of her gray world and into a candy-colored Munchkinland. Carl, too, enters a whole modern world.

Up is a deeply emotional film, bulky of truth. It’s the year’s best film. Collect another triumph for Pixar.

Someday, Pixar is going to do it — they’re going to develop an emotionally uninspiring, lackluster involving movie. But in the meantime, they’re mild putting out delectable inviting movies like “Up,” which defies the usual kid-movie conventions by starring a crotchety passe man. It’s a charming, fun diminutive adventure chronicle with flying dogs and balloon-powered houses, but underlying it is a bittersweet minute anecdote about loss and treasure.

As a child, the panicked Carl Fredricksen bonded with the oddball Ellie over their shared like of adventure, the explorer Charles Muntz, and Paradise Falls. They later married, proceed into their “clubhouse” together, and lived a long, sadly childless life together. When Ellie died, she had never fulfilled her dream of going to Paradise Falls.

Now crotchety, alone and harassed by a loyal estate developer, Carl (Ed Asner) is finally ordered to a retirement home. But he isn’t going quietly — instead he attaches thousands of balloons to his house and floats it away toward South America. But he accidentally takes an interested, naive Wilderness Explorer (a thinly-veiled Boy Scout) named Russell (Jordan Nagai) along for the flow. Abominable kid was impartial trying to procure an “assisting the elderly” badge.

And the jungle gallop to Paradise Falls turns out to have some surprising obstacles: a mountainous emulike bird that Russell names Kevin, a talking dog named Dug (”I am jumping on you, bird!”), and a mysterious musty man who lives deep in the heart of the jungle. Turns out the outmoded guy is very familiar to Carl — and to assume Kevin, he’s willing to sacrifice Carl and Russell.

Industry experts were babbling about how “Up” wouldn’t be as current as the previous Pixar movies, because the protagonist is basically a crusty venerable coot. Well, shows what they know. It ended up becoming one of those classic movies that somehow appeals to all ages — while the humor and action appeal to children, adults can be pleased Carl’s treasure for his lost wife, and his dumb realization that he’s clinging to the past.

In fact, the first ten minutes are some of the most heart-tugging, quietly bittersweet scenes I’ve seen in a long time. Without a word, they exhibit all the ups and downs of a realistic marriage — joys, sorrows (Ellie’s inability to have children), growing former together, and finally loss.

But it’s not a depressing movie by any stretch — in fact, it’s like a childhood fantasy near to life, complete with a floating house suspended on hundreds of balloons, and biplanes piloted by a talking dog army.. Plenty of tall dialogue (”Do you want to play a game? It’s called Ogle Who Can Go the Longest Without Saying Anything.” “Icy! My mom loves that game!”) and an action-packed climax in an outmoded airship.

Ed Asner is absolutely perfect as ubergrouch Carl — crotchety, grumpy, and clear to fulfill his wife’s lifelong dream, but gradually realizing he’s clinging to the past. Nagai is equally perfect as Carl’s polar opposite: a naive, chattery Scout who is certain to reunite Kevin with her baby chicks. And the utterly adorable Dug and the other dogs deserve special peek. These creatures are utterly hilarious — they talk (”I hid under your porch because I savor you”) and act the design dogs would if they talked. Three words: cone of shame.

The two-disc edition is going to have some very nice extras, but once again people with regular-def DVDs are going to rep shafted because the Blu-ray edition will have a bunch of unique stuff. Grr. As for this one, there’s a digital copy, the director’s audio commentary, kinda-alternate-ending “The Many Endings of Muntz,” and the documentary “Adventure Is Out There” about the research for this movie.

There are also a pair of adorable gripping shorts. “Partly Cloudy” has a much-abused stork having to verbalize potentially inappropriate baby creatures from a kind but clueless cloud. And “Dug’s Special Mission” is a sort of backstory for the adorable Dug, explaining what the heck he was doing before he met up with Carl and Russell.

“Up” continues Pixar’s running tally of gloriously enthralling, emotionally layered movies that the entire family can appreciate. With that, I have only one more thing to say… SQUIRREL!

The History Channel really delivers in this awesome documentary on the history of The Shadowy Ages, the period between the Drop of the Roman Empire and the rise of the Middle Ages. It is generally remembered as a bleak period when civilization in the West teetered on the verge of total collapse and barbarian warlords fought with each other when they weren’t busy fighting Viking hordes, Muslim invaders, or Byzantine armies.

The Unlit Ages uses modern scholarship and high production values to recreate the period objective after the drop of Rome in the leisurely 5th century A.D. The Roman Empire in the West had collapsed and a ragtag band of barbarians made up of Goths, Vandals, Franks, and Lombards wage bloody warfare against each other to divide up the pieces of the once-great Empire. In the East, the remnants of the Empire live on under the Emperor Justinian who becomes obsessed with recapturing Rome and reconquering the West. Meanwhile, the Franks, easily the most great of the post-Roman tribes, have begun to place a gigantic kingdom under the Merovingian dynasty, led by King Clovis, whose conversion to Christianity helps find its position in the history of Europe. The documentary then touches on the Viking raids along the English and Irish coasts, the desperate struggle to crush the invading Muslim armies that threaten to seize all of Spain and France, and ultimately, the consolidation of Western Europe as fraction of the Holy Roman Empire under Charlemagne.

This is probably one of the best History Channel DVDs out there and shows that a pleasurable amount of time and wretchedness went into execute this production. While of course it cannot enlighten every detail of the nearly 500 year period of the Unlit Ages, it does a valid job of providing an worthy introduction to the subject. It is one which recommends itself to anyone who claims to be a student of history.

I usually bask in the re-enactment-type specials on the History Channel, but this one was a notch above anything they’ve ever done before. The production values were absolutely cinematic: the photography was beautiful, and the procure was so graceful that I hope they do out a soundtrack for this expose, or at least offer the music as an iTunes download. This indicate never drags, and crams an extraordinary amount of history into its 90 minutes of airtime. At the destroy, it feels very legend, like you’ve traveled on this hump with someone. Definitely worth the capture, or at the very least, the rental.

The settings go from the bleakest – the slums outside Mumbai, where our hero, Jamal Malik, lives as a child with his older brother Salim – to high rise vistas and no less than the Taj Mahal. The chronicle ranges from the worst despair and heartbreak to the noblest sacrifice and most romantic worship.

We are introduced in the opening moments to the young adult Jamal, played by Dev Patel. He is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and has unbiased answered the ten million rupee request prior to the slay of the display. His next demand will be worth twenty million rupees, an unimaginable fortune to the average Hindi. The arrogant, primping star of the present, played with artificial charm concealing an oily narcissism by Anil Kapoor, cannot stand that young Jamal is stealing some of his spotlight, and believes that the young, uneducated “slumdog” is cheating. (One of the key sequences involves the host “proving” to himself that Jamal MUST be cheating.) Jamal has been handed over to the police, who torture him to manufacture him confess his deception. This moment in Jamal’s life frames the rest of the film, told in flashback, and explains the torturous road that allowed Jamal to respond even the most difficult questions.

We are not told about Jamal and Salim’s father, but in an early sequence we spy their mother murdered in a brutal religion riot as club-wielding Hindu’s attack a Muslim slum. Orphaned, Jamal and Salim live in the trash dump at the edge of the slum. They aid another orphan, the young girl Latika.

The remainder of the film fills in the gaps of the lives of Jamal and Salim and Latika, who call themselves the Three Musketeers, but only got far enough in school before the assassinate of their mother to learn the names Athos and Porthos. Slumdog is a portion of fiction – a fantasy – but it includes dependable emotions and believable human characters. I walked from the theater feeling a limited better about being alive, and vivid that I had honest viewed a attractive artistic achievement.

One of the inequities of the movie business is that a film like this can only initiate in a few theaters in Unusual York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and pick weeks to approach at “lesser” destinations like Atlanta and Houston and St. Louis, while Beverly Hills Chihuahua opened nationwide on thousands of screens. Through all the misfortunes to which the brothers are exposed, there is an upbeat quality to the film, as we approach to understand that it was these traumatic incidents in this young man’s life that taught him the specific answers to the inquire of being asked on the demand exhibit.

Of course there is also a romance. Our hero is looking for the young woman he loves, a childhood companion through the dread, who is composed being exploited by the Indian underworld, which now includes his brother.

All of this is packed in an upbeat and fascinating tale that alive to me from the beginning and made me want to stand up and cheer at the overjoyed ending.

This is not a film to be missed. It breaks all the stereotypes and comes across as a groundbreaking current modern remark in the landscape of the world of film. I give it my highest recommendation.

Any film that can accumulate the family together for a fun,wholesome, and involving concept, and beget the interest of all for it’s entire length, gets 5 stars in my book. “Casper” is one of those films. It may not go down as some gargantuan fragment of cinematic art, but it is one that all generations can bask in, will leave you with a smile, and something to talk about with kids afterwards.

Based on the venerable funny book stories, “Casper” is a very grand but very lonely ghost. He lives in an ragged mansion, that has seen better days. He is not alone in this mammoth house though, he lives with his three very depraved(but laughable) uncles,”Stretch”, “Stinky” and “Fatso”. Casper only wants someone to go in,so he could have a friend, the uncles on the other hand, do their very best to fright away any visitors.

So when a greedy woman inherits the property, and believes there is a buried cherish inside, she hires an array of ‘ghostbusters’ to rid the house of all spirits. None seem to be able to handle this unpleasant trio, until one day a ghost psychiatrist and his lonely daughter(also looking for a friend),travel in and try to tame the threesome. From there it’s a fun and wild wobble, and a touching account of friendship.

The film has a terrific cast that works well with the extraordinary animation and special effects. Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci are the father and daughter team that benefit these spirits. Cathy Moriarty(”Forget Paris”), and Eric Lazy as her bumbling assistant add their talents as they go for the worship.Lots of gargantuan names are cameoed throughout. Don Novello, and Dan Aykroyd reprise their roles of Father Guido Sarducci, and ghostbuster Dr. Raymond Stantz for brief appearances, unbiased to name a couple.

The voices including Brad Garrett as “Fatso” are beneficial, and you can never go detestable when James Horner scores a film with impartial the upright touches.

It’s rated PG for some occassional serene language and thematic elements, and at an hour and a half, it impartial the proper length, and is a palatable design to consume some laugh out loud family time together.

This is one on my approved movies of all time. The dialog is fleet, comical and Intelligent. Plus, the gender treatment is keen, and not dated in the slightest. But . . . WARNING! Avoid the D3K DVD at all costs. It is truly the most horrendous digital transfer I have ever encountered. The report is fuzzy and the dialogue almost incomprehensible. I have a five-year-old VHS copy of a TV broadcast of the movie that has considerable better sound/picture quality. To form things worse, the feature menus on the DVD are poorly designed, so that you cannot disclose what you are selecting. And the makers had the audacity to have a whole menu with the credits for production of the DVD. I can’t occupy how indignant I got trying to utilize this DVD.

Luckily my friend had another version I could compare (and eventually win) . The “His Girl Friday/Cary Grant on Film” version is ample in comparison: Dialog is crisp, represent lively. It has a bonus documentary, Tony Curtis introduction and the trailer. And IT COSTS LESS than the D3K. This version is a winner.

Avoid this product at all costs. This expansive movie is ruined on this disc. The image quality is dreadful and continuously blurred. The sound quality is equally fuzzy. It’s like watching a movie with your head wrapped in cheese cloth.

Amazon should terminate selling this disc on the grounds of injurious merchandise.

“I Am Account” is not a film that sticks closely to it’s source material. While that is it’s biggest flaw, it is also where it shines. If you ha told me two years ago that I’d pick up misty-eyed watching Will Smith insist “Three Tiny Birds” in a grand budget motion describe I’d have laughed myself comic, but this adaptation of Richard Mathson’s untouchable current that -while itself being a vampire story- inspired the entire zombie film genre as we know it takes the legend we all know whether we’ve read the book or not and turns it into an exceptionally personal affair for all of us. One man. One dog. A familiar metropolis deserted by day, but crawling with death by nightfall. This is our setting and it’s one that never gets feeble for me.

The plague that wipes out Robert Neville’s world is never fully explained, simply inferred to be the result of some sort of failed cure for cancer. Gone from the fresh and the modern Vincent Ticket classic, The Last Man on Earth, is the long struggle of Neville to place his ill daughter, his wife’s tranformation, and the gruesome actions of the US government to believe the plague. What it left is simply one man, alone trying to bear his sanity and hopelessly searching for a cure to a disease that has already wiped humanity off the face of the earth and left the “survivors” as rabid vampiric horrors. It’s unlit, it’s pathetic, and it’s perfectly human. Will Smith has a penchant for picking abominable, schmaltzy films to star in, but no one can narrate his talent and charisma as a leading man. Naturally, this is a film he must carry single-handedly and he does an awesome job of it; he’s dramatic, he’s relateable, and at times, he is humorous. The humor is that of the shadowy and execrable kind, but in a world like his, that is all there is left.

The vampires/zombies/infected in this are all CG and more than a bit reminiscent of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings. I’m not a fan of these kind of effects when practical would have been more effective and was acutely aware of the fact that I watching computer-generated monsters, but they worked nonetheless. The infected show to be plain foes for Neville to face, combining suprising cunning, inhuman strength, and impossible agility (hence the CG) . Their only weakness is that sunlight kills them almost instantly. Neville plays a game of cat-and-mouse with them, gathering supplies, researching cure, and searching for survivors by day while making clear to win aid to his fortified apartment before nightfall when the creatures reach out to hunt for his hiding dwelling. More than a few shades of 28 Days Later are expose in this film, which is laughable considering the book and it’s film offspring are largely what provided the elements of that film. So I guess the genre has officially reach corpulent circle now.

Ultimately, it’s the personal touches that develop “I Am Story” such a treat. Bob Marley provides both the soundtrack to Robert Neville’s day and the inspiration for his work, which is both ironic and uplifting at times. This may sound curious for a terror flick, but if you are a fan of Marley (himself a Fable) it makes all the sense in the world as you glance. Watching Neville attempt to interact with mannequins he’s site up as he returns the movies he rents (in alphabetical order, one at a time) and seeing him snap when one of the figures is moved is both comical and, at times, intensely disturbing. When relief finally comes, Neville finds he has lost the ability to interact with other humans at all and is relegated to performing lines from “Shrek”, which is playing on his television at the time. The ending is a complete 180 from the book which is disappointing, but not as corny as it could have been. The recent I Am Chronicle has one of the most intelligent and darkly ironic endings ever set aside on paper, but director Francis Lawrence didn’t slay it by go for the pleased ending either. The result is a compromise between the pitch blackness of the book and the cloying cheese that many Will Smith fans worship. It turns out a bittersweet and hopeful conclsion that should satisfy both while not thrilling either. But I left the theater with “Redemption Song” mild ringing in my ears and a glad feeling. If only every movie could do that for me.

“I Am Myth” fails to adapt the book of the same name to the mountainous mask, but succeeds in so many other ways. I can’t give it a perfect collect, but I will give it a very hearty recommendation to fans of Will Smith, zombies, vampires, and Bob Marley. Luxuriate In.

I Am Account can’t obtain a ravishing shake. This Will Smith-led production is the third attempt Hollywood has made to adapt the shining fresh. None of the adaptions have truly done the original justice (which is a shame), but this version has arrive the closest.

Here we have a intelligent beginning; footage of a scientist (played beautifully by Emma Thompson) saying humbly that she’s discovered a contrivance to cure cancer. Rapid forward a few years, and Novel York is utterly devoid of human life, establish for Robert Neville (Will Smith) . As the first half of the film progresses, we learn about his meager living, spending the day harvesting and trying to survey a cure, even now, while spending the night huddled in his protected home as creatures prowl.

His only companion, a unbelievable dog named Sam, protects Neville as Neville protects him. They have a friendship based on loneliness and the human need for someone or something to acquire onto. Sam is Neville’s only connection to the past and the only map to narrate what petite humanity is left, either in the world or Neville himself. This period in the movie is pitch perfect, puncuated by one or two ugly sequences that instill helpful fear.

Unfortunately, the last half of the film deteriorates into an action movie that completely changes the meaning of the words “I Am Sage.” Don’t salvage me unpleasant, it’s mostly done really well. Constantine director Francis Lawrence has a worthy handle on the action and delivers some proper scenes. But, it becomes muddled and veers off completely from the recent. My biggest complaint, though, is the expend of CGI. Instead of using proper flesh and blood actors, all of the creatures are created with CG and they ogle incredibly groundless when lined up next to loyal people. In the beginning, it’s not a predicament but as you witness more of them (and you will) it’s glaringly definite. And annoying.

All of this I was expecting going in, though. Considering that the film was co-written by Akiva Goldsman who also wrote I, Robot, I knew this version would stray from the source material objective as I, Robot did. As a movie, it’s genuinely thrilling and creates the perfect balance of tension and action through most of its entirety. And, surprisingly, Will Smith shows that he’s a really great actor as he has to not only tackle many conflicting emotions during the two hour bustle time but he also has to do so without having grand of anyone to react to. Spending a profitable hour or so without another single actor for Will Smith to work with was a gamble and it paid off.

Your enjoyment of the film is entirely based on what you bring to the table. If you’re coming to this film expecting to stare the book reach to life you’ll be sorely disappointed. However, if you’re looking for a worthy action movie that actually has a great myth and a human aspect, you’ll be hard-pressed to fetch one as thrilling recently.
